Unusually fascinated by vinegar

I'm not sure if this will appeal to everyone here, but this article from chow.com on vinegar strikes me as incredibly interesting. Did you know that white vinegar is made from grain alcohol i.e. Everclear? Did you also know that there are vinegars made from raisins, dates, coconut and even beer??? Neat stuff!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you ate one of those silica packets that comes with your new shoes? So have I, but I'm not about to no matter what this article from www.chow.com says. Just thought you might be curious.
