Let's not skirt the issue
On a gray and unseasonably warm day here in NYC it's tempting to think about the coming spring. These skirts are so springy they've got my mind skipping through a meadow of daisies. On the site www.madewithlovebyhannah.com there are so many excellent examples of gorgeous hand printed skirts it truly boggles the mind! Oh, by the way, be sure to stop by the "made with love by grandma" section where she is selling some really cute popcicle stick purses and crocheted items. Way to go grandma!
Freezer paper craft
I have always wanted to experiment with printmaking, but it seems so complicated and scary. That was until I found this link explaning a process by which you cut out a stencil from freezer paper, iron onto a tee shirt and then paint it up. Check out the link for yourself and tell me how easy that looks! Can't wait to try it!
Dishtowel obsession
I have a serious problem with dishtowels. For one thing I can't stop buying them, and for the other I can't stand using them for anything that would stain them! Therefore I have a whole drawer of gorgeous towels that are just for show. Anyhow, I definitely need to add this one to my collection. Very cool. Via twentytwentyone.co.uk
Jonathan Adler = Genius
If you are anything like me your many remote controls are clumsily strewn across your coffee table. Why not corral them into this handy and very snazzy remote control box produced by the master of all things groovy, Jonathan Adler.

$6 Grooviness
What can I say about a $6 handcrafted plastic ring...I mean you really can't go wrong. Tigerlily shop
Under the sea
It's a new year and it is time to retire all your owl/horse/bird motifs in favor of something new. I propose the switch to seahorses, anenomes, cuttlefish or any of the sea's great creatures. Mark my words, jellyfish are sooo 2007.
These sea-riffic notecards from Blissen.com fit the bill very nicely. For sale here.
A great idea
I love the idea of making presents for my friends, and am always looking for creative ways to do so. This idea for altering "Barbie" to make it look like your friend, then making a photo montage to wrap around the outside...genius! Check out this site for instructions. Psst...I got this link from the Make Craft magazine blog which is very cool!
Now I am excited!
I might be the last one in the universe to know about this, but the good people over at Make Magazine are coming out with a crafting mag in the fall! Those of you familiar with Make already know how truly awesome the magazine is, but those who do not please check it out! I am definitely getting a subscription and will attempt to craft some things to put on the site. Keep an eye out for it! - my good friend aaron tells me that I am the last to know that this actually came out LAST fall...doh! but subscribe anyhow
