Extreme blog guilt

Sorry for the lack of posts so far today...it's been absolutely nuts at work! The good news is that Spring merchandise has arrived, so I should have some new and exciting ro products to post soon.
In the meantime check out these cute votives and tees from Maryink on Etsy.

Clay play

There are so many pieces from the Art Department website that I wanted to post here, but my site is already taking too long to load all the photos...sorry! Art Department is based in Boston and makes some of the most imaginative pottery wares I have seen in a great while (that is except for my father in law...hi Pat!). Please be sure to click on the link to check out all their super creative houses, jewelry, tiles and other goodies.

Stuff with a cause

Here's a cute little knitted squid phone cozy from plinkonet. They are custom made, so you could obviously order one to fit an ipod, or whatever your little heart might desire. Proceeds from the sales are going towards the artist's goal of earning $30,000 for her 3 day breast cancer walk. Great gift idea!

Ipod karaoke

Do we even have to discuss how potentially dangerous this little item could be? It appears that you have to download special songs online so that you can see the lyrics across the bottom, but I wonder if you could just use the mike to sing regular old songs off your ipod. I mean really, who needs the lyrics to "It's Raining Men" or "Beat It" anyhow.

Kids are funny

Oh I wish you could see these placemats very up close because they are HI-larious! They are disposable paper placemats with kids recipes printed on them. The kind man at the Bob's Your Uncle booth told me that they are coming out with a new series of these because they did so well, but for now you can get the old series at amazon.com
My favorite recipe of the bunch is for Blueberry Muffins and reads as follows:

Blueberry Muffins:
Blueberry
Sugar
Dough
Salt
Put into muffin things
Put them in the oven
Keep them there for a while
Take out
Eat them

Butter Cutter

File this one under things you didn't know you needed until now...it's a butter cutter that carefully and lovingly portions and cuts pats of butter for you. How thoughtful those people over at whateverworks.com are.

Rockin!

Maybe kids have changed, but I don't remember sleeping on rocks being quite so peaceful . Oh wait, these are big old beanbags from Smarin Design via Modern Self that just look like rocks. Hey, that's pretty cool!

Chillin and grillin

OH man it is cold here in the city. All I can think about is summer and grilling time. Check out this handsome portable grill I found on hoping for happy accidents website. It sure beats the pants off the sad little thing we used last year to grill our weinies. Mmmmm...weinies

Flea market mentality

I remember finding jars like this at the flea markets outside of my home town in Colorado when I was little. Browsing the musty and dirty aisles often you would find little jars of mysterious stuff like these, sort of a grab bag in a jar. These jars are a modern sort of crafty take on the idea from One Good Bumblebee via designsponge. Each one contains over 100 items like clothes pins, buttons, glitter, charms and other tiny treasures. I would have loved to have gotten one of these as a gift then, and now...especially since I can sidestep the creepy flea market altogether.

This one's for the fellas

It has recently come to my attention that I have neglected the men-folk when looking at interesting wallets. Please accept my apology and check out these neat wallets available at Composition Design. The blue wallet has the big dipper on it by the way so you can never get lost while carrying it!

Wishing for snow

These lovely lacy ceramic trivets by Joanna Bylicka have me pining for snow here in the cold and dry NY streets. Via Designsponge.

Phone...with wire!!!

I like the idea of having an actual wired phone. It reminds me of spending countless hours on the phone as a teenager and stretching the phone cord as far as possible in order to reach the couch comfortably.
Yes, I am that old...but I digress...
This company sources old phones from Argentina and fully refurbishes them. They are a little expensive but a trip down memory lane aint cheap! Buy one for yourself at Homerepublic.com and give that old boyfriend/girlfriend a call. Ok, that's a really bad idea but the phone is cool anyhow!
